Entrepreneurial systems engineering is the discipline that applies systems engineering to the design of an enterprise. This conceptual article advances a theory of Social-Enterprise Systems-Engineering (SESE) as an applied discipline and a supplement to the development intervention of knowledge, principles, and processes tailored to the design of enterprise systems. An enterprise is a complex, socio-technical system that comprises interdependent resources of people, information, and technology that must interact to fulfill a common mission.

In this article, the relationships between system engineering and social entrepreneurship will be examined along with its constituent components, present evidence of its potential benefits and then provide suggestions for future research.

When economic systems are in or just emerging from recession, they tend to laud entrepreneurship and innovation as vehicles to provide ready solutions to economic despairs. Whilst entrepreneurship concerns taking products or services to market and generating value, innovation focuses on the creation of something new, which may be taken to market through entrepreneurial processes. In addition, over the past decade governments, academics and practitioners have begun to place greater emphasis on social entrepreneurship and social innovation.

This research aims to study the activities imply that the products, services, and outcomes of both the entrepreneurial and the innovative process have a social value beyond the direct effects on the transactional parties.

Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process by which individuals constantly identify economic, opportunities and act upon them by developing, producing, and selling goods and services. This process requires qualities such as self-reliance, a capacity for risk-taking and a sense of personal commitment. The need for comprehensive action fostering entrepreneurship is increasingly being recognized by political and economic entities as one of the keys to unlocking greater employment growth and competitiveness.

This research explores how labor-unions promote the spirit of collaboration and teamwork that encourages the associated members to create an innovative environment at workplace that turns into fostering the entrepreneurial opportunities.

Entrepreneurial intention is defined as a state of mind that leading an individual’s attention and action toward the endorsement of entrepreneurial behavior, building new business concept, and undertaking in entrepreneurial career. It is important for students to know that entrepreneurship is an available career option for them and understand their interest and intention towards entrepreneurial career.

The research conducted particularly among the students at Open University Malaysia (OUM) has attempted to understand the factors that stimulate or impede their entrepreneurial intention. The study is also focused on examining how many OUM students possess the entrepreneurial intention towards selfemployment.

Social entrepreneurs are “reflective practitioners” who think in action; that is, they practice while reflecting mindfully on their actions, in order to continuously improve both their theories and their practices. Thus, unlike social service providers, social entrepreneurs explicitly aim to permanently and systematically transform a miserable or unfair societal condition. Unlike social advocates, social entrepreneurs act directly, creating a product, service, or methodology that spurs the transformation of the status quo.

This article introduces a research framework for systematically assessing and comparing the ways social entrepreneurs generate social change. Based on a review of the academic debate, the requirements for such a framework will be discussed as well.

Today, governments and the international community recognize the political urgency of responding to the challenge of youth education and employment as a precondition for poverty eradication, sustainable development, and lasting peace. Officials in economic development agencies, workforce development agencies, and education must come together to create an alliance for entrepreneurship education and ultimately for the future.

The study determines that the role, and acknowledgement, of equipping the future workforce with the skills it needs to succeed, in the knowledge-based economy, does not rest solely upon the educational system to develop and implement strategies for the younger generation.
